I died a thousand deaths that night yet I live on to tell my tale. My hands were cold, clammy and shaking. There was sweat on my brow but my hands just would not come up, even on their own volition, to wipe it off. If there ever was such a thing as a walking cliché, I was it that night. That my heart was heavy was an understatement; it actually felt as if it was being pulled down to my feet. I faintly remembered giggling at an inane thought in that tempestuous moment, the odd knowledge of knowing how it felt like to actually have my heart in my mouth and thinking of how strange it was that I felt it sliding down to the very soles of my feet. The clapping of the crowd as Lambert walked on stage was just mere muzak to my ears, less than that even, like hardly audible elevator music. The whole room spun around me, and my eyes took in all the people who were looking at me, looking at me and clapping. Was it for me or for him? Somewhere amidst the strains of odd music, I heard fanfare. The whole place gave off a frightening, fairytale-like quality and I remembered smelling ______________ before finally passing out, if it was ever possible, in full consciousness. The whole circus of the senses was nauseating, and exactly because of that, was indelibly printed on the canvas of my mind.

That one frightful experience was enough to change my life- I became vegetarian.

Well I got a suggestion for the tee:

Why not we just use words only? Like "4BN" on the front cover and then something like "Class Rocks!" on the back? It's simpler. Just a thought.

Hello 3BN! I have a favour from all of you to make our lives better and make MrZaid all the more proud of us next year. It wont be long before we will be in new block 4BN so let's get the class tee thing started. I shall take things into my hand because no one seem to care, so plz vote for the following options you would like for the Tee Base colour. Does it make sense? hmmm yes it do right, so then we'll take it from there.

in view of H1N1, and I don't want to be overly paranoid but I feel that it would be prudent to postpone the class chalet as it involves a large gathering not only of 3bn, but other people as well. I recall having read something about some chalet in yesterday's papers so you might want to check it out.

The zoo!!! Oh wow!! What a fantastic idea. Let's call it ....Class Outing (May 09): THE REALITY TRIP.

Seriously, in view of today's results ( and I fear to think of tomorrow's ), a trip to the zoo would open up new horizons. You could get used to the environment, in seeing that some of you may want to consider the positions of zookeeper and assistant zookeeper in the future. For those of you whose results are even further down the spectrum, you might want to consider being....well....fodder. At least then you'd do some good..

Ok ok I apologize; it's just that you guys, well at least one guy, left you guys wide open so I just had to take a shot. I admire your ability to smother up the fiasco of your results with seemingly happy thoughts like zoo outings, polar bears and the like, survivors that you guys are. Oh, and I think it's spelt tamarind.

Thanks for taking the well-deserved sarcasm. I guess we'll face the prospect of being at the very beginning of the natural distribution curve, results wise, together. On a very serious note, I think that you should take a long, slow reflective look at your performance and ask yourselves how you got there, because despite the facade, I saw a lot of not-so-well-hidden despair today as well.

Hey guys the exams are over so there will be another classs outing to the....................................................................ZOOOOO. Yes its the ZOOOOO, white clouds, fresh air, and beautiful scenery of the animals and the wildlife, everything you will need after the stressing exams. Yes although Ah Meng is dead, but there are still other animals to look at, like the other Orang utans who all look alike, the White Tiger which caused a man to die, poor thing, Polar bears who really make you feel like your in the North pole, and the almighty primates, Gibbons, Spider Monkeys, Chimpanzees and Mandrills, Tamarins, Langurs, Lemurs and White-faced Saki monkeys. Awesome rite.
So interested??? Ok so the details, the date is 23th May, a Saturday, so the opening hours are 8.30am to 6.00pm daily, so we will probably be there at about 11 am. The entry ticket will cost $18 unless some of you can make it pass as a 12 year old kid then u will just need to pay $9. Parking charges are, Car S$3.90, Bus or Lorry S$4.90, but i doubt anyone of us will be able to drive let alone get a car. Hey, long time no post already! Well, you know I post whenever dire situations come, so here's my two-bits worth. Hope you really take this into consideration.

We have all (not exactly all but its close enough) witnessed how our A Maths teacher got really fed up with our class. I believe that this is a sign that we have to really buck up already. The inconsistency of our homework has brought us to the attention of many of our subject teachers lately. For those who are in the performing arts CCA's I empathize as there is another heavy commitment that needs to be fulfilled. However, we must remember the purpose of schooling: to receive education. Therefore no matter how stressed out or tired you may be after your CCA, when you get back home, take a shower, rest, and pick up the pen and complete your homework.

The owing of homework is a common disease among our class. Even I am partially "infected" with it. It is just too hard to stare at the homework on your desk and realise that there is more tomorrow and there is just a whole load more that is due. So let us have a resolution: during these few days we sacrifice our "free" time to complete whatever overdue homework we have, shall we? It is neither a forced agreement nor request, but it is a choice I leave you guys and gals to decide.

My dear class, I have to personally admit that I sometimes will get frustrated by the noise that we make. Constant "shhs" and an occasional shout did do so much as a temporary silence. I love the class exceptional interaction, and I would very much love for it to continue if it is not for the fact that the human mind can only listen to a subject at any time.

I must sound like an old man now right? Haha, I apologize. C'mon, 3BN, let's prove that we are people that can do work consistently, who shows discipline and most of all, fun-loving people.

Hey people.
This post may come as a piece of crap to some of you,
but i think that we should sort this out as a class anyway.

I dont know about the rest of you,
but personally i think we should start reflecting on our behaviors a bit.
To have not one, but two teachers walk out on us before mid-term even ends;
its...ridiculous.
We arent a terribly bad class,
and definitely far from dumb.
you all know that,
so why cant we just show a bit more discipline whenever required of us.
Our class is way behind time for AMath,
so Mr Teo was just doing his part by making sure he could at least complete what we need to know and we can mug the rest of it out during the long weekend in time for the Tuesday test.
The least we could do is the basic courtesy of not talking unnecessarily and paying attention right.

Buck up la people,
Mid-years are coming.
Let's spare ourselves from having to hear other teachers talk bad about such a wonderful class like us through MrZaid's ultra-loud speakers again.

I'm sick and tired of waiting for your edusave forms. Henceforth, those who do not bring theirs tomorrow, 27th May, will serve detention. You have had more than enough time to get them signed and get the cash needed. I've even gotten Hui Yee to pin up the names of those who still owe the forms. Jian Ming brought his cash and edusave form today, but the form wasn't signed, because according to him, there was no line to indicate where to sign. I'd told you guys to draw the lines yourselves because the person who prepared the form made a mistake; I told you guys the day I gave out the forms. Jian Ming had the cheek to tell me that he'd forgotten because it was so long ago. Doesn't matter does it Jian Ming? You weren't paying attention, as usual.

You guys shall serve detention until you bring your forms. Be considerate; other people have jobs to do and you're hindering them from doing their jobs. Take a break. You guys don't have to be major league ------ every day of your lives.

Reviews from all your subject teachers have been far from impressive. Shape up or I will take swift and sure action, whether it's regarding academic work or helping out with school admin. Your collective attitudes, save for some, have been poor. I will not tolerate this any longer, i.e. starting from tomorrow.

I repeat. Shape up, or you won't like coming to school. If you show poor attitude in my class, you reap the consequences, likewise with all your other classes. I will find out from all your other subject teachers everyday and you will be taken to task. That's a double whammy: one from your subject teacher and one from me.

Take heed, or school will be miserable. You guys deserve it. I don't have to justify myself.

hello 3bn.

i have alot of things to say now right after class outing alrights. 3 things in particular.

Firstly, thanks for those who turn up for class outing day, those who didnt turn up, you really missed alot alot of fun. It was a blast, total blast because i was there. Simple as that. And and THANKS JORDAN FOR ENTERTAINING ME HAHA. And mingzhe, those personal attacks were just jokes okay though you really damm nice to disturb cause you cant rebutt much haha. Before i forget too, hongswee for the heart-to-heart talk with me on our way home. I really enjoyed it haha.

Secondly, this is specially dedicated to our Best Form Teacher : Mr Zaid.
From our hongswee, the one whose bowling, self proclaimed pro, he told me about you, Mr zaid about the incident of reading my blog. Somehow i felt guilty, really guilty when i heard that you saw it. I have to agree that on the first few days of school, my days were really rottenly spoilt, hahaha and from then on, i thought that you were the greatest idiot on earth. But slowly as days goes by, i see the nice side of you like how i saw mr teo.I found out that you werent that bad afterall, in fact, you are super nice,especially when you talked to me in breeks and in your car, i felt that i have to apologise to you. okay i'm not a fantastic planner in outings,
but i sure can manage the food part.
In fact, there's is absolutely no one else better to consult.(:

hmm, if we're planning to hit the beach in the east coast area, seafood is just the thing!

EASTCOAST BEACH

-No Signboard Seafood .
this is super expensive but the food is fantastic. IF MrZaid is a kind soul mayyyybe he'll treat us.

-Long Beach Seafood .
this is just as great too, but the distance might be a problem, depending on where we are going to be. Expensive.

-East Coast Lagoon Food Village .
this might be just the thing, with the super affordable price tag attached. the only problem is it doesnt fulfill the air-conditioner criteria. and it's best that we go earlier in the evening, cos it's gonna be super duper crowded at night. Otherwise, food's is the best with a big variety of quality food. especially SATAY haha omg. oh and satay is HALAL too, so its safe for MrZaid's consumption and definitely NOT against his religion. I CHECKED ALREADY.

so far this is the plan if the outing is planned for sunshine fun@EastCoast.
any ideas for the outing itself, anyone?

Class chairperson and class outing.
First off, the class is not run under the authoritarian democracy. Delete authoritarian and democracy and insert totalitarianism. Secondly, nominating a chairperson in this class is not a matter of choice but rather, a lack of options. Actually, I've a good mind to opt for HuiYee because she sits right under my nose and is totally reachable.

Bad point about going to the zoo: you guys would scare the animals.

Good point: you guys get to see the other monkeys.

Beach volleyball is good, but please make sure I'd be in the winning team. It'd be better still if we could have access to an air-conditioned volleyball court, with or without the sand.

Makan outing is always good, especially in an air conditioned place. After that, we could all play a game, within air-conditioned confines, to burn the calories. That would limit our choices to high-intensity games such as pool, bowling and perhaps poker just to name a few. Brilliant.

Yes, and if you've noticed, I'd decided to grace you guys with my presence. YAY.

Movies: there is a dearth of good movies right now. Let us not watch Chick Flicks, Boy-Chick flicks, Boy-Flicks (of the Brokeback Mountain variety) and What Makes a Tick flicks.

Chalet is also out of the question. It'll be a smarter option to stay in the comforts of home.

We could do a barbeque, but mind you, I would not bring anything to it except my genius.

Random: If Superman, The Terminator and James Bond were to get into a fight, who would win?

Every time I come to this place, a miasma of smells assails my (olfactory?) senses. It is like being at a banquet, but then again, I am standing right at the entrance of its namesake. In big, bold, white and blue lettering, B-A-N-Q-U-E-T hangs at the entrance to this popular establishment, its popularity not least owing to the fact that everything here is cooked Chinese style, albeit Halal.

This place, depending on which outlet one is referring to, teems with office workers as well as heartlanders, though the food is not always cheap. What draws the masses here seems to be the availability of variety. There is food of all kinds to cater to different taste buds. Its thematic orange and yellow colour scheme lends a certain aura of simplicity and comfort to its patrons. The walls sometimes tell the story of how long ago, our ancestors (predecessors?) would make a living hawking their wares, adding a further homely feeling to the establishment. The food itself?
Ah, there are too many kinds to describe, but suffice to say, it is not likely that one would come away empty and hungry once one enters the establishment.

I am taking the easy way out, you say. Very well. The variety is great, but hardly startling. That, in essence, is the very thing that makes the food special; familiar, well-cooked food though not necessarily wholesome. If you want wholesome, Banquet is definitely not on the top of your list, but it does have its Yong Tau Fu stall. Unfortunately, insofar as deserts are concerned (unless you chance into Banquet at Raffles Place), the quality is dismal. Having said that, I remain adamant that, short of not having any money, one would not go hungry upon entering the establishment.

Which is what I am doing right about now. I want to eat here, to savour the gastronomic delights, and to leave here a happier and heavier person. One challenge remains though; looking at the sea of bobbing and talking heads, I wonder if I would be able to find a seat.

Hey BN,

here's a suggestion;

To make life easier and cheaper for those organizing class outings next time, why dont we make some sort of a buddy system to ensure everyone's informed about each and every class outing? If not, i.e. the steamboat lunch we were supposed(and might not) to have, organized by Kelly, might have to go up in smoke. Face it people, none of you have everyone's numbers in the class right. So we can maybe say,split it into cliques, asking a rep to inform whoever they hangs out with,etc. or we can even go by the SWAT system, basically, our Chairman to EL rep to sub-comm.

it'll make our lives way better when having class gatherings.

Ok people, just so that you'd be prepared ( I predict that by the time you guys read this, you'd be home and not have your compre handout with you.), tomorrow, I'm going to quickly go through the rest of the questions in your compre. handout and then we'll start on summary. EL syllabus seems a little rushed doesn't it, but then again, which syllabus ain't?

Anyway, on the lighter side, if you guys put in commendable effort tomorrow, there'll be a reward ( not the kind which requires me to dispense with hard-earned money, but something you'd enjoy nonetheless.

Hi back to post.

Today has been a long and tiring day for all of us. (Yes the squats)
Ok after this I hope we'll learn from our mistakes (Hmmm), and not repeat them again. So as to escape from unnecessary punishment. :(

#1: Do not be too friendly with Mr Zaid.
(Speak formally, no body languages)
#2: Do not cause any trouble in class.
(Hand in homework/assignments on time, don't talk to loudly in class etc.)
#3: Be a united class :)
(Help each other, be active in class)
#4: Attire
(The usual blah blah, it is everyday thing lar)
#5: Do some research/study on Mr Zaid's character (?)
(So we won't piss him off so easily = less punishments)

Sigh I hope everyone will co-operate. Oh yes, the noticeboard. Everybody plz co-operate, if you can spare recess time/after school time, plz do so. We'll be decorating the noticeboard. It's the usual stuff right. Just bring ang paos, staplers, glue, markers (?), anything you think that is creative and new and nice and pretty. Then own this noticeboard thingo!!! :)

Oh yes, the pink form at the back of the classroom. It think confirm can settle lar. Still got the lockers, omg paiseh people. Other than that, Eugene mentioned the Duty Roster. I think he'll settle it, just anyhow write peoples' names randomly. Then like that also fair, so no complaints. :)

1) A Maths - Chapter 1 Part 2 (Polynomials) Worksheet + Assignment by TOMORROW.
And the Chapter 1 Part 3 (Remainder Theorem) Worksheet + Assignment latest by NEXT MONDAY.
2) Chemistry - Chapter 4 (Elements and Compounds) Worksheet. There'll be a element + valency table test also if I'm not wrong.
3) Normal Chinese - Chapter 11 workbook exercise.
4) Higher Chinese - 听写 on Chapter 1. I have no idea when it is, I didn't bring home the textbook. MY GOD I THINK IT'S TOMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah well, today is the day which we get 800 squats from Mr. Zaid. It hurts, no kidding. Hope you all are alright, physically and emotionally.

Okay, I don't want to be labeled as a person who "sucks up to teachers" or "'star' pupil" or what not, but its just that, although we did get into big trouble today, and we don't like (okay, I admit, hate) the punishment that was meted out, we still have to do some reflection. I don't think the spamming issue here was the main problem, but us. In Mr. Zaid's class we are all very silent: too silent in fact, we don't dare to answer questions at all. But in other classes, our noise level is really above tolerable level. And when the teachers ask a question, we still do not answer. Let's change this. I think it's because our mindset is that "Someone else will answer". Everyone keeps that mindset and it will frustrate a teacher. Another thing that will frustrate a teacher is the fact that we just can't keep our mouths closed when the teacher is teaching. I know maybe that cool guy next door just sms-ed you or what not but lets show at least an attentive ear. We can do this, BN.

Homework wise, I know it is tough. A Maths is certainly a big problem to deal with. I have that problem too, but I can't stop. You must be thinking "Yea, then what should we do?". Ask. Any question just shoot at Mr. Teo. No teacher will be, or should be, frustrated when being asked a question related to what they are teaching. Of course, with the exception of repetition of a question. We have tougher things ahead of us, and we will do it together, BN.

Lastly, I just want to chip in my own comments. Last year in 2MD my class was the type of "every man for himself" class. No one cared or listened. I was a chairman once in Sec 1, but I gave up. I couldn't get the class to co-operate. But in this class, is the class I feel proud to be in. We're not divided but we're together. That's the key thing. We've gotta help each other. I know this sounds like I'm 80 and telling you guys another lecture and what not but please take my words in mind. I don't mind doing another 10000 squats if it is for the class. Mr. Zaid could have been abit harsh today but that is the way it is and should be. We can show our "attitude" and vent our anger but remember we are still students. Work done on time gives us more time to bond. If you see anyone faltering when we're doing the squats then don't be afraid to tell Mr. Zaid. Because all of us know where the limit is.

To end off, I would like to say that I have scrapped the duty roster and that anyone who talks in lesson would be "awarded" with a duty to do.

Hmm... I thought usually it would be the class chairperson who would post first but never mind about that. In case you guys (and gals) were wondering, we are gonna have a class duty roster on monday. Yes, on monday. There will be sweepers, whiteboard cleaners and tables/chair arrangers. Yes, I know the last category is quite redundant but trust me, if the tables and chairs are not properly arranged it is possible that they will be doing one of the other two jobs the next day. So... eh, good luck for the assignments anyway!
